Bounce Rubber contains recycled content of both post-consumer and post-industrial waste used in various proportions in the Bounce color lines. In addition, Bounce is manufactured with SBR synthetic rubber made from old tire scrap. Bounce is offered in 36" wide rolls and tiles, in 4, 6 and 9mm thicknesses. Bounce, which contributes to LEED® credits, offers a fashion forward look to recycled rubber flooring.
 
Frequently asked questions in the field:
  • What percentage of Bounce Rubber is recycled content?
  • Each color combination of Bounce is manufactured with different proportions of recycled content. For color specific specifications, please provide specs per designers requests. It is notable that two colors in the Bounce line do contain 90% total recycled content.
  • What dimensions is Bounce available in?
  • Bounce is available in roll goods or tile. Rolls measure 36" wide. Tiles are available in 36" x 36" standard size. Rolls must be a minimum of 200 sq ft. On orders over 2000 sq ft., 4' rolls or 24" x 24" tiles are available.
  • What thickness do you recommend I specify?
  • 4mm: Corporate Office Areas -Corridors, copy rooms, pantry, cafe areas, general office locations with traditional levels of traffic
     
    6mm: Heavy Traffic, Mail Rooms, Gym / Workout Facilities that do not have free weight equipment, treadmills and cardio equipment areas, day care areas, cafeterias, traditional education projects, rehabilitation areas in hospitals
     
    9mm: Weight and Gym areas that have free weights in use must use 9mm materials. No exceptions. Heavy traffic, heavy rolling and static loads.
  • What is the lead time on Bounce Rubber?
  • Inventory is available located in Dalton, Georgia for orders that are time sensitive and require expedited service. Inventory levels are minimal, so please check with Nood prior to quoting a 'quick ship option'. If there is not immediate inventory to satisfy your order, expect a 3 week lead time from the time of order.
  • Is Bounce available in a custom color?
  • Yes, you can recolor Bounce. Bounce Rubber has 24 custom colors for you to choose from. There are over 100,000 possible color combinations from which you can design. Select up to 5 colors to create your own floor. The minimum for doing so is 3000 sq ft. for 4mm material, 2500 sq ft. for 6mm material, and 2000 sq ft. for 9mm material.
     
    When you first order a custom samples, you will receive a small container that has the rubber granules for you and your client to first approve for color. Once that is approved an actual 'mini mold' is run and you will receive (4) 6" x 6" samples for approval. Custom Samples have a lead time of 1 week for the first material for color approval followed by 2 weeks for the mini mold to be run. Lastly, each custom color is a new variation in terms of materials and must be priced out for each specific project.
  • How does Bounce contribute to LEED?
  • MATERIALS & RESOURCES
    MR4.1: Use materials with recycled content such that the sum of the post-consumer recycled content plus 1/2 post-industrial recycled content constitutes at least 5% of the total value of the materials in the project. (1 point)
     
    MR4.2: Use materials with recycled content such that the sum of the post-consumer recycled content plus 1/2 the post-industrial recycled content constitutes at least 10% of the total value of the materials in the project. (1 point)
     
    INDOOR ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY
    IEQ4.1: The VOC content of adhesives and sealants used must be less than the current VOC content limits of South Coast Air Quality Management District Rule #1168 and all sealants used as filters must meet or exceed the requirements of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District Regulations 8, Rule 51.
